Who are we?We are a coalition of stakeholders focused on bipartisan policy solutions promoting economic opportunity for all through modern jobs, modern employers, and a modern government. We believe that expanding economic opportunity by building a modern economy is a goal shared by Americans across the country and political spectrum – and one that requires us all to break out of stale, rigid political debates, and instead collaborate and innovate to promote modern jobs, modern employers, and modern government.

What is our mission? The Modern Economy Project’s mission is to promote economic opportunity for all through the support of modern jobs, modern employers, and a modern government. The Modern Economy Project is a coalition of stakeholders dedicated to resetting and updating the conversation among employees, employers, and policymakers to better reflect our modern economy and ensure practices and policies expanding economic opportunity. A truly modern economy, that allows all Americans to thrive economically, requires employers, employees, and policymakers to collaborate and work together to strengthen workforce support and corporate social responsibility, and expand opportunities.

Is this solely a Washington, D.C. effort? The need for expanded opportunity exists in communities across America – and so does the work of the Modern Economy Project. Our partners are engaging in states across the country, highlighting innovative employees and employers, and amplifying their voices to policymakers.
